It’s important to have the last version of the IT-Security tools, looks like nmap.
The only way to have them is between compilation.
In this tutorial we compile nmap 7.80 (the last version in this time) on Debian 10 Buster.
Now we must download the source of nmap 7.80 typing
$ wget https://nmap.org/dist/nmap-7.80.tar.bz2
Extract it typing
$ bzip2 -cd nmap-7.80.tar.bz2 | tar xvf -
Enter in the extracted folder
$ cd nmap-7.80
Install all the dependences typing
# apt-get install openssl libssl-dev libssh2-1-dev libssh2-1 gcc g++ make cmake libpcap-dev
Configure nmap typing
$ ./configure
Compile nmap in user mode typing
$ make
If you haven’t encountered any errors, compile and install nmap 7.80 typing
# make install
Now you can use nmap as root!!!
